Walid Hadi

Walid Hadi is Shell’s Country Chairman in Oman and is a Dutch citizen of Venezuelan and Lebanese origins. He is an American University of Beirut graduate and a CFA charter holder. Walid started his career in Andersen’s Oil and Gas practice in Qatar then moved to Schlumberger, before joining Shell in 2005. He started his Shell career in the regional planning and reporting unit in Dubai, responsible for Shell’s portfolio in the Middle East, North Africa, Russia and Eastern Europe. He was then posted to the Mergers and Acquisition team, based in the Hague, working on a variety of acquisitions, divestment and corporate transactions spanning Africa, Middle East, Far East, Australia, and Eastern Europe. In 2012, he joined Shell’s Middle East government relations team where he worked to establish new country entry positions and business development opportunities across the region. He was appointed as GM Commercial for Shell in Kazakhstan in 2015 where he also served as Shell’s shareholder representative for the Caspian Pipeline Company and was a member of its Board of Directors. In 2017, Walid was appointed as Vice President Finance for the Upstream Joint Venture business.

Intisaar Al Kindy

Intisaar Al kindy is Oman Shell’s General Manager Upstream and Deputy Country Chairman. She is a highly respected leader in Oman holding 28 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry. She was most recently the Exploration Director for PDO and a member of the PDO Executive Committee. Prior to this role, Intisaar was seconded into Shell as the Country Chair and General Manager of Jordan where she established the oil shale venture. Intisaar has also held several technical jobs including a posting in Shell UK in 1997 and Government Gas Exploration team lead in PDO. Intisaar holds a BSc in Geology from Tulsa University (USA) and a MSc in Petroleum Geology from Imperial college London. Intisaar joined PDO as a Geologist in 1990. Intisaar has three children and enjoys hiking, reading and is passionate about encouraging women to explore their full potential.

Malak Al Shaibani

Malak is Oman Shell’s General Manager of External Relations and the interim In-Country Value Manager. As a marketing, business development, human resources and entrepreneurship seasoned professional, Malak held key leadership positions across the public and private sectors. She was responsible for the implementation of government policies on economic development focusing on industry and attracting inward investment into Oman.

Holding a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from Strathclyde University, Glasgow, she brings a wealth of experience with over 30 years in senior business roles. During this time, she has held key positions in both Oman’s public and private sector where she has strategized, organised and overseen high-profile initiatives in promoting the Sultanate’s market appeal, attracting foreign direct investment, shaping the country’s start-up business community, as well as leading human resource development in large-scale manufacturing organizations.
