Country Chairman
Ali Al-Janabi
Ali Al-Janabi is Shell's Country Chairman in Oman. He is a graduate of Imperial College London where he obtained a Master of Engineering degree in civil and environmental engineering.
Ali has over 23 years of experience in Shell in a variety of management roles across Chemicals, Integrated Gas and Upstream, after joining from Halliburton in 2001. He started his career in Shell in Gas & Power in Business Development and became the LNG Supply Manager for the Middle East, North Africa, and South Asia in 2006.
He then joined Goldman Sachs as the Head of the MENA Commodities Franchise based in Dubai, and rejoined Shell in 2010 as the Commercial lead for the Iraq south gas project (BGC). Before his current role, Ali help the position of Senior Vice President and Country Chair Kazakhstan, and the Vice President and Chairman of Shell Group of Countries Iraq, Tunisia and United Arab Emirates before that.
