Muscat, Oman - Shell Development Oman (SDO) recently awarded a further two contracts to Hussam Technology Company LLC (HTC), an Omani small and medium enterprise (SME), for the design and construction of solar photovoltaic (PV) generation systems to be installed into two public schools located in the Al Batinah North Governorate. Contracts for the latest solar school sites were signed by Dr Firas Al Abdwani for HTC and by Chris Breeze, Shell’s Country Chairman for SDO. The recipient schools in which the new solar PV generators will shortly be installed are Kaab Bin Barsha School in Saham and Al Asma’a bint Al Harith School in Sohar.

Muscat, Oman – 27 November 2017 -- Shell Oman concluded a week-long campaign for the 47th National Day which featured a 1965 Corvette which visited some of Oman’s remarkable landmarks and highlighted the Sultanate’s story of growth, progress, and diverse beauty Salim Al Amri and Hussain Al Bahrani, employees of Shell Oman, took the classic red corvette on a journey passing by 47 Shell Service Stations to spread the joy and spirit of the occasion with members of the community.

Muscat, Oman - Shell Development Oman launched its ‘Solar into Schools’ initiative today at a ceremony held at the Um Al Fadhil School for Basic Education in Birkat Al Mouz, Nizwa. The ceremony was held under the patronage of Her Excellency Dr. Madiha bint Ahmed Al Shaibaniya, Minister of Education, and was attended by a number of officials and dignitaries from Al Dakhliya Governorate as well as the school’s staff and students, and Shell’s management and staff.

Shell Oman organized a special ceremony to recognize the student teams that represented Oman in Shell Eco-marathon Asia 2017, which was held in Singapore earlier this year.

Shell Development Oman (SDO) has launched its Professional Courses for 2017 and has held two training courses this year as part of its ‘Training for Development’ social investment theme.

Muscat, Oman Oil Company Exploration & Production LLC (“OOCEP”) and Shell Exploration B.V have signed a Heads of Agreement (the “HOA”) to collaborate on Oman Block 42 (the “Block”). The HOA was signed for OOCEP by Isam Bin Saud Al Zadjali, Chief Executive Officer at Oman Oil Company S.A.O.C., and for Shell by Chris Breeze, Shell’s Country Chairman in Oman.

Oman Shipping Company (OSC) today announced that its subsidiary, Oman Charter Company (OCC), has entered into a contract of affreightment (COA) agreement with Shell International Eastern Trading Company (Shell) for three years. The contract grants Shell access to the Very Large Crude Carriers (VLCC) operated by OCC for crude oil cargo transportation requirements and provides OCC with the cargo base it needs to support its commercial operations.
