SDO Social Investment

Social Investment is our voluntary contribution to Oman. It is embedded in the way we carry out our day-to-day business to provide long-term sustainable programmes.

At Shell Development Oman, We seek to initiate, establish and support programmes that are aligned with our business. Our social investment activities are themed around road safety, environment, enterprise, youth, development and employment.

Shell is committed to support the Government and the people of Oman through sustainable social investment initiatives from a desire to give back to a country that has been an integral part of the Group’s success over the years and from the Company’s recognition that they should be responsible corporate citizens of Oman.

Solar into Schools

Under ‘Solar into Schools’ initiative, Shell and Ministry of Education are contracting Omani solar SMEs to install solar systems into 22 public schools across the Sultanate over the next five years.

NXplorers

NXplorers is a Shell innovative educational programme that introduces young people to the complex and creative thinking needed to bring about positive change.

Environmental Conservation

Environmental conservation is one of the areas of focus identified by Shell Development Oman’s social investment agenda. Since 2012, SDO helped support several projects.

Youth Development

Shell in Oman is focusing on developing the skills and abilities of the youth so Oman’s future generations are responsible and conscious of road safety, the environment, and their role in the marketplace.
